A1: Yes, we have a Rapid Response service which can help if you need someone to stay with a relative or friend. Q2: Can my care support worker help with tasks such as bowel care and peg feeding?
A2: Yes, our staff are well trained and can be specially trained with District Nurses to take on complex tasks. Q3: Can you provide care for more than one family member or siblings at the same time?
A3: Yes, we can either have one care support worker to work with both clients, or have two staff members working together. Q4: Do I have to pay for the initial assessment about my care needs?
A4: No, our assessments are free and you have no obligation – we are here to help you decide what’s best for you. Q5: Will my care support worker make all the decisions regarding my care routine?
A5: No, your care support worker will ask your opinion and only help you to make choices. Our aim is to keep you as independent as possible in your home. Q6: Is my care support worker allowed to manage my money for me?
A6: Only by prior agreement and adhering to our cash handling policy. Q7: Can I still go on holidays? Can my care support worker come with me?
A7: Yes, we are able to assist you on holiday, even when going abroad. Q8: Would my care support worker be police checked?
A8: Yes, all our staff are police checked to an enhanced level. Q9: Will I still be able to have a social life and go to the pub or theatre etc?
