Looking after family or friends with a disability or terminal illness can become a full time job. Carers can find it difficult to get down to the local shops let alone have any sort of social life.

Oxfordshire Crossroads started in 1978 to provide care assistants to support these carers, when the government had not yet recognised the need. At last, carers could go out and about knowing that their loved ones were in safe hands, cared for by fully trained care workers

Oxfordshire Crossroads is a member of the National Association of Crossroads Schemes. We are also registered with the Commission for Social Care Inspection. Fully accredited, we hold contracts with the Health Authority, Social and Community Services and the Alzheimer's Society as well as with private individuals and through Direct Payments.
