SUCCESSFULLY CONNECTING CARERS

Oxfordshire Crossroads CONNECTING CARERS project, kindly funded by the CARERS TRUST, has now been successfully completed. In the six allocated weeks, we delivered over 20 hours a week of telephone support to isolated, unpaid carers. We also hand delivered 29 tablets to connect carers in, among other places, Witney, Shrivenham, Enstone and Redbridge. We have visited eight households in remote rural areas, to lend support to carers who are particularly isolated because of having to shield elderly parents. The success of this project means that we are keen to continue reaching out - and we are setting up a new project to build on our work.
